COVID-19 Guidelines for Unity Baptist Church
The times that we live in were certainly unprecedented but they were no surprise to God. As we pray that this pandemic ends soon, we have implemented thoughtful guidelines to protect the members/visitors of our church as well as aiding in stopping the spread of COVID-19. We ask that you please comply with these guidelines if you wish to worship in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings. Thank you and God Bless.
1. If you are sick, have a fever or a cough (or have been treated for a fever or cough within the last week), have been exposed to anyone who has or has been treated for a fever or cough- we politely ask that you please stay home and worship with us Online.
2. Only the front entrance will be open; other entrances will remain locked.
3. There will be a door-greeter to open the door for you-- PLEASE allow him to do so.
4. To comply with health recommendations, everyone above the ages of 2 years old MUST wear a face mask!
5. If you do not have a face mask, you will be given one to wear. Do not remove your face mask while inside the building.
6. All participants in meetings (council, deacons/servant helpers, business management, etc.) must wear face masks inside the building at all times.
7. Children should remain with family as the nursery will be closed.
8. Please use the hand sanitizer (located in the foyer) upon arrival and departure.
9. An usher will seat you. Please adhere to the social distancing guidelines and keep a distance of at least 6 feet from others (with exception of members of the same household).
10. Please refrain from shaking hands, hugging, or other forms of personal contact.
11. We are aware that seasonal allergies are also amongst us during this pandemic; please cover any coughs or sneezes as well.
12. When the service is over, please remain seated and wait for the usher to lead you out. Everyone must wear their face mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines (keeping at least 6 feet apart) until you exit the building.
13. An offering plate is in the foyer for your tithes and offerings.
14. Only 2 restrooms will be open. For men, please use the restroom located in the foyer ONLY. For women, please use the restroom located across from the choir room. Upon exiting the restroom, please return to the foyer to enter the sanctuary. All other sanctuary entrances will be closed.
15. After using the restroom, please wipe down any and all surfaces you come in contact with. There will be disinfectant spray and wipes to do so with.
Again, we understand that these protocols may be uncomfortable and unpopular for some. However, we are following the local guidelines to limit exposure and stop the spread of COVID-19 together. We will get through this with God as our leader. Please join us in praying for our nation.
God Bless,
Unity Baptist Church
